Our roots are deeply embedded in orthopedic shoe technology and orthopedic technology. Both the founder Peter Witzel and the current owner Hendrik Witzel have learned the O&P business from the ground up.
Most of our products and solutions are based on our own practical experiences.
From this DNA, a broad product spectrum in the areas of vacuum technology, heating ovens, and technical accessories has developed over almost 50 years. The development and specialization in these product areas was deliberately pursued, rather than aiming for the portfolio of a full-range supplier. As a result, Witzel VACUPRESS products can be found today at most specialist dealers and in the workshop equipment catalogs of many full-range suppliers.
Where are Witzel VACUPRESS products manufactured?
Since our beginnings in 1978, we have been developing and producing vacuum deep-drawing devices, infrared ovens, pre-preg ovens, and many of our other products in our own facility here in Essen. We only outsource the production of some small devices, such as the compact convection ovens size 1.
Where can I purchase Witzel VACUPRESS products?
As a small manufacturer with global markets, we decided many years ago to primarily distribute our products through specialized dealers for orthopedics and orthopedic shoe technology. As a result, we have local partners in many countries worldwide who are available to our customers for purchase advice, import and installation, as well as after-sales service. We are happy to connect you with a local specialized dealer and, of course, we are available to all interested parties for technical advice.
We serve countries and regions that are not covered by specialized dealers directly from Germany, thanks to our many years of worldwide export experience.
What warranty do I receive on Witzel VACUPRESS products?
We offer a warranty of 24 months on all machines and devices, excluding wear parts. This warranty applies regardless of whether a product was purchased through a specialized dealer or directly from us.
What customer and repair service is available for Witzel VACUPRESS products?
We set high standards for our customer service. Often, our products are a central part of workshop operations, and a failure can have significant consequences. Therefore, fast and solution-oriented responses are our priority. Service requests via phone or email are answered immediately or within a few hours. In addition to our own technical customer service, which is deployed in coordination with customers, we work with our specialized dealer partners and independent technical staff.
To ensure the service and repair of our systems for our worldwide customers, we consider future serviceability already during the development of our products. As a result, most components can be replaced by the customer themselves or a regional technician. We provide comprehensive assembly instructions with the spare parts to ensure proper repair. This way, we ensure that the often urgently needed devices are up and running again as quickly as possible while keeping maintenance costs manageable.
