For more than 40 years, Witzel VACUPRESS e.K. is standing for innovation and quality in vacuum and heat technology, especially in orthopedic shoe technology and orthopedic technology. Our journey began in 1978 with the vision of making vacuum technology accessible to small and medium-sized businesses. Today, we are proud to be a globally recognized partner for specialist dealers and customers on all continents.
Our product range includes a wide spectrum of vacuum forming machines and infrared ovens, which are continuously developed to meet the increasing demands of our customers. With the introduction of the PO Pre-Preg Oven series, we have set new standards in pre-preg processing. With these or, for example, the infrared ovens of the ..03 series, we offer solutions that optimize efficiency and precision in your workshop.

1970
In-house construction of the first vacuum deep-drawing device for the family's orthopedic shoe workshop
1978
Founding of Peter Witzel VACUPRESS Apparatebau
1985
Rebranding to Witzel Orthopädie GmbH. The VACUPRESS Apparatebau remains a department of the new company.
1987
With son Hendrik Witzel, the next generation joins the company.
1990
Introduction of the VACUPRESS 620 SII with patented UNILOCK quick-clamping system
1998
Peter Witzel VACUPRESS is spun off from Witzel Orthopädie GmbH and becomes independent.
2004
Hendrik Witzel takes over full management of the operational business.
The product portfolio is expanded beyond vacuum deep-drawing technology. The first infrared oven series for orthopedic technology "Made in Germany" is introduced.
2006
Introduction of the next generation of vacuum deep-drawing devices VACUPRESS 620 S3 and VACUPRESS 900 XR with new COOL-TEC cooling system.
2010
The new infrared oven series ..01 is introduced.
2012
Peter Witzel retires and hands over the company completely to Hendrik Witzel. Peter Witzel VACUPRESS Apparatebau becomes Witzel VACUPRESS e.K., owner Hendrik Witzel
2013
The new PO1200 and PO1800 Pre-Preg Ovens are introduced.
2014
With the ..02 series, the third generation of infrared ovens is introduced. Infrared ovens have meanwhile become the state of the art and are increasingly replacing conventional ovens and heating plates.
2020
Introduction of the infrared oven series ..03. The fourth generation offers a modernized user interface, improved maintenance functions, and direct access to maintenance and operating instructions.
2025
Relaunch of the website with extended product information.

About Me – Hendrik Witzel
VACUPRESS has been a part of my life since childhood – founded by my father, grown with our passion for quality and innovation. Today, I continue to lead the company in its second generation, with the ambition to combine tradition and progress. Like my father before me, my own training as a CPO allows me to have a practical view of our products and developments.
For me, VACUPRESS stands not just for technology, but for trust. Our machines make everyday life easier for craftsmen and technicians worldwide – and that's exactly what drives me. I look forward to continuing this journey with you!
